Introduction
This study focuses on a hydrothermal alteration type rock gold mine in Xinjiang. To enhance gold extraction efficiency, experiments were conducted using the gravity separation-cyanidation combined process.
Experimental Results of Gravity Separation
Under specific conditions, the Nelson gravity separation process exhibited remarkable performance. When the gravitational value was set at 60 G and the fluidization water volume ranged from 3.5 to 4.0 L/min, it preferentially enriched the coarse - grained gold concentrate. The gold grade of this concentrate reached 311.70×10⁻⁶, with a recovery rate of 42.23%.
Experimental Results of Cyanidation Process
After the gravity separation, the tailings underwent a cyanidation process. With a grinding fineness of 90% passing through -0.045 mm, a pulp concentration of 40%, and a cyanidation time of 24 h, the gold leaching rate reached 97.41%.
Overall Performance of the Combined Process
The gravity separation-cyanidation combined process achieved an outstanding comprehensive gold recovery rate of 98.81%. This result indicates that the proposed combined process is highly effective for gold extraction from this particular type of gold mine.
Conclusion
The findings of this research offer valuable insights and practical references for gold mining operations, suggesting that the gravity separation-cyanidation combined process can be a reliable and efficient solution for processing similar gold deposits.
